8/18/22 – NHS Music FRIDAY: First Home Game

OUR FIRST FOOTBALL GAME OF THE SEASON IS HERE!
NORTHWOOD VS. WOODBRIDGE, FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th, PORTOLA HIGH SCHOOL STADIUM
STUDENTS: wear Elton John Band T-shirt, athletic shorts (no jeans), black socks that cover ankles, and black Dinkles shoes.
5:30pm: Student call time, meet at the Portola High School outdoor basketball courts
6:40pm: Pre-game show, National Anthem
7:00pm: Kickoff
Don’t miss out on the fun! Hear and see the Northwood Marching Band & Color Guard’s first performance of the season! The band will perform at the pre-game show, during the game, and at halftime. Invite family, friends, NHS & TIMB alumni; everyone is welcome!
If you do not attend the game, please pick up your student(s) at the Portola High School front lot. This is the only pick up location with director supervision!

SPIRITWEAR
We are glad you were able to pick up some Spiritwear and see what items TIMB has to offer at the Kickoff Performance last week. We would love to be able to have a table out at the football games, but need some volunteers to help manage that. 8/12/22 – NHS Music FRIDAY: Kickoff Performance Tonight!

MARCHING BAND KICKOFF CELEBRATION, FRIDAY, AUG 12th at 6:00PM
Join us at the Northwood High Main Field for the Northwood Marching Band Kickoff Performance! We will be playing during the halftime of the football scrimmage, between 6:00-6:15, so arrive early so you don’t miss the performance! PARENTS, stop by the TIMB table for information, spiritwear and giveaways. Invite family, friends, NHS & TIMB alumni; everyone is welcome!
Friday’s Schedule:
9:00am-4:00pm: Last day of band camp
4:00pm: Dinner provided for marching band
5:00pm: Call time for students
6:00pm: Kickoff Performance on the NHS Main Field

If you do not attend the game, please pickup your student in front of the gym at approximately 9:00pm.

8/1/22 – NHS Music: Band Camp is Next Week!

UNIFORM FITTINGS: AUGUST 4th, 5th, 8th & 9th
Have you signed up yet for your Marching Band Uniform Fitting Appointment? Click HERE to signup. Be sure to:

Bring your SIGNED Camp Contract (mailed to your home last week), signed by student and parent to the Pre-Camp Meeting or your uniform fitting. You will not get fitted without your signed contract. Contact TIMB.VPMarchingBand@gmail.com if you did not receive one, or print out a blank one HERE.
Wear athletic shorts (not denim), a short sleeved t-shirt and socks.
Fittings will take about one hour.

Join the Directors and TIMB in the NHS Theater for everything you need to know about preparing for band camp and what to expect this season!

ALL MARCHING BAND AND COLOR GUARD LEADERSHIP
Leadership training Thursday, August 4th & Friday, August 5th from 9:00am-3:30pm in Room 501. This is mandatory for ALL leadership (DM, managers/asst managers, section leaders/asst section leaders, captains, etc). Color guard leadership – please come after your morning session. Drumline & Pit leadership – your coaches will send you over to us at our agreed upon time.

“I’M WITH THE BAND” FANWEAR – PRE-ORDERS DUE TONIGHT!
Parents and supporters: Click HERE to order your Band Fanwear (t-shirt or zippered hoodie – men’s or women’s cut). Pre-orders are due tonight (Monday, August 1st) in order to pickup at the Marching Band Kickoff on Friday, August 12th. You may also order at the Kickoff for delivery by the first football game and limited quantities will be available for sale.

PARENTS, TIMB & NHS ALUMNI: WE NEED YOUR HELP!
It takes HUNDREDS of volunteers to support our music students each school year! Please SIGN UP to volunteer during uniform fittings, band camp, football games and other performances. 7/18/22 – Welcome to Marching Band 2022!

We are excited to kickoff the school year with the 2022 Marching Band & Color Guard show, “The Music of Elton John”. With nearly 250 members, the Timberwolf Marching Band will be one of the largest student groups on campus. This email contains all of the important information for Marching Band & Color Guard Camp and for the 2022 Season.

Important details to prepare for camp:

Parents and students, attend the MANDATORY Pre-Camp Meeting Wednesday, August 3rd at 7:00pm in the NHS Theater

Sample Camp Contract – This is just a sample. Your contract will be mailed to your home address for the parent and student to sign and submit at your uniform fitting appointment.
