THANK YOU to the many generous families who have given time and money to support music! Over the years, the students of NHS have continued to benefit from the generosity of our parents and community. Donations to this program will help maintain the integrity of our outstanding program, as well as cover ongoing costs. To maintain a high-caliber program, we are fortunate to have the Timberwolves Instrumental Music Boosters (TIMB) as volunteers at our events and to help raise funds to cover the costs of instruments, instrument repairs, sheet music, festivals and offsite performances, clinics and coaching, awards programs, and more.

Your donation will help us “Keep Music Alive” at NHS!  As part of TIMB’s fundraising efforts, we are requesting a donation of $125 per musician. At this time, roughly 43% of our families have made a donation to our program – thank you so much for your support! While donations are not required to participate, a tax-deductible donation will help sustain our program at its current level. We appreciate ANY amount you can give. Donations made to the program may help offset or eliminate the need for other fundraising activities. Your student’s participation in the program is in no way contingent upon your donation; however, we hope to continue to maintain the level of our programs. Based on the donations received, we may have to alter or cut some activities we have had in the past. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. We offer “Thank You” incentives for various levels of giving. TIMB vouchers are complimentary concert tickets which have a box office value of $10 each. These vouchers can be used for any of the paid-admission instrumental concerts, excluding galas.

  • $125 TIMB (2 vouchers)
  • $200 ADVOCATE (8 vouchers + name in program)
  • ​$400 CHARTER OAK (family voucher to all concerts (excluding galas) + name in program + early seating)

Donations made by Sunday, September 28th will receive corresponding “Thank You” concert vouchers by the end of the week. Concert vouchers can be used for the upcoming Fall Concerts taking place on Monday, October 6th and Tuesday, October 7th.

HAVE YOU SIGNED AND RETURNED YOUR INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC AGREEMENT (IMA)?All music students should have received a paper class syllabus and “Keep Music Alive (KMA)” information. Student AND Parent are REQUIRED to go online and sign the Instrumental Music Agreement, verifying you have read the class syllabus.

FALL CONCERTS ARE COMING UP SOON!
Get ready for Northwood Instrumental’s Fall Concerts! You won’t want to miss this two night event, starting at 7:00pm on both nights in the NHS Theater. Concerts will be taking place on Monday, October 6th and Tuesday October 7th . Concert tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and children. Concert/KMA vouchers may be used for this performance.

NEXT FOOTBALL IS A HOME GAME ON OCTOBER 10th AT IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL.  
The Northwood Timberwolves vs Aliso Niguel at a home game at Irvine High School.  The Sierra Vista Middle School Band will be joining the NHS band at this game.  They will be performing in the preshow with the band and also playing with the NHS band in the stands.
5:30pm: Student call time, meet at the IHS outdoor basketball courts
7:00pm: Kickoff
